Dry at the start but turning very wet.
26/01/2015 J Chrimes From the Rising Sun, Tarporley through St Helen’s churchyard, across fields, over many stiles and a few kissing gates; taking in a length of the Sandstone Trail. Aan excellent view of Beeston Castle, before a short length of the Shropshire Union Canal, past the Shady Oak Pub. More muddy fields & over more stiles to rejoin the Sandstone Trail. The final length of the walk involved going cross-country over even more muddy fields where a walker lost his boots then back to the Risng Sun where we enjoyed a good lunch.

09/03/2015 R Miller Kelsall south along Eddisbury Way to Weetwood Common, through Prior Heys golf club past Duddon Mill to Tarvin return via Tarvin Sands , Shay Lane, Chilwall Farm Well signed posted and not too muddy. Good lunch at the Royal Oak

The Plough across fields to join the Whitegate Way to Catsclough. Cross country Mill Lane & R Weaver. By the river to Vale Royal Locks over the golf course to Whitegate. More paths to return to the Plough for lunch.

07/04/2015 W Notman From the Kings Lock along Shropshire Union to almost to the railway then across fields to A530 at Wimboldsley then via a good path over the R Wheelock back to the Kings Lock. The menu was limited but fook ok and facilities somewhat basic.

21/09/2015 J Chrimes From Kingsley to Peel Hall, then on via Beechmill House & Bradley Orchard Farm reaching Frodsham cut on the Weaver. Leave the river via Catton Hall to return to Kingsley. Lunch at the Traveller's Rest Newton by Frodsham.

05/10/2015 W Notman From Gresty's Waste to Pale Heights 550ft to visit the Nine Shires Stones feature. Visibility about 5 miles. Down to Go Ape round Blakemere Moss – usually noisy with birds but quiet this morning. We returned by the Sandstone Trail, noting the two headed boar seat. Lunch at Farmers Arms, Kelsall

21/12/2016 N Lamping From the Salt Barge Inn for an extra walk before Xmas. They were Bill Montgomery, Jeff Crimes and Nigel Lamping. The walk commenced along the Trent and Mersey Canal to the Anderton Marina and then returned through Hopyards Wood and Marbury Park and the canal. Joined the short walkers for lunch. There was a total of 14 probus members in attendance which was a very good turn out and organised by Sam Whalley.
