22/04/2013 W Montgomery From Hassall Green followed the old Salt Railway to Alsager, then cut across to the Trent Mersey canal and back to the start. An enjoyable lunch was taken at the Bear’s Head at Brereton. 5.7 mls 5 walkers. .

29/07/2013 G Johnson A walk over a variety of terrain around New Pale, Manley, some fine views. Mainly featuring the Sandstone Trail and the Delamere Way, The walk was surprisingly overgrown.in places. Lunch was taken at the White Lion, Alvanley.

12/08/2013 N Lamping A round of the fields to the west of Acton Bridge, following the railway, Then along two pleasant green roads, bypassing the bog and Crowton, through Ruloe and back to the Hazel Pear for lunch. 6.2mls 9 walkers.

28/08/2013 W Montgomery From Tarporley across the Portal golf course, through the fields in an arc to Eaton, then climbing the old drove road to gain the familiar Cheshire panorama. Through the Oaklands course, and the lanes to the Rising Sun for lunch.

09/09/2013 W Notman From Whitegate Church along the old Vale Royal drive and down to Vale Royal locks. Up the River Weaver to the bridge, passed the Salt Mine, up Whitegate Way to the old level crossing, by farm tracks onto Grange Lane, and back to Whitegate. Then to the Plough for lunch.

Ideal walking under blue skies and in sunshine, if a little wet under foot after all the rain. 9C
18/11/2013 G Johnson We headed off first towards Cotebrook, then turned across the fields and through the woods to Oulton Park, down a quiet lane to Darley Hall, where we turned north across fields to Little Budworth. Ancient tracks then led back to the Shrewsbury Arms and lunch.

Easy walking. Light drizzle for the first couple of mls, then dry but dull and cloudy. 6C
02/12/2013 N Lamping Start at Hanging Gate and then meandered through the country side via Onston, Delamere Park, and Cuddington to returning to Weaverham. The meal at the Hanging Gate was very good although a little more expensive than we normally expect. (A good place to take your wife/girlfriend/lover)!

Overcast it was dry, not windy or too cold
16/12/2013 Roy Miller Taking the train to Mouldsworth, we then walked towards Ashton before turning onto the Baker Way. Beyond Peel Hall the walk headed N on the Longster Trail, crossed the railway, and finally turned for home, under the railway, and through quiet lanes to the Goshawk. There we joined the Short Walkers, and enjoyed a convivial Christmas lunch, to round off a good day.

30/12/2013 W Notman A fine undulating walk, in difficult conditions, from Gresty’s Waste, over Primrose Hill, and down the Sandstone Trail to Willington. Then E, through muddy fields, to Bentley Wood, and up through Tirley Garth to the SE corner of Primrose Wood for a diagonal traverse back to the Sandstone Trail, then over Primrose Hill, and back to the start. Thence to lunch at the Abbey Arms
