09/01/17 J Adshead From the Drum & Monkey to Squirrel Bank, Through woods & a steep climb past Wizard’s Well to the top of “The Edge” Views of the Cheshire & Peak District. Steep decend to the perimeter path, then climb a field path to Edge Hill Farm. Return via woods & fields to the pub for a good lunch.

23/01/17 J  Chrimes From the Carriers Inn, Hatchmere circumnavigate Norley via tracks, paths, fields and lanes. Points of interest included the picturesque Hatchmere lake, the Tiger’s Head, the moto-cross course and the Brownmoss Equine Clinic. Lunch taken at Hare & Hounds, Crowton

06/02/17 N Lamping From The Woodpecker, past Davenham Church across fields to Moulton on to the R Weaver & Vale Royal locks and returning to the Woodpecker via Davenham

20/02/17 J Feltham Walk from Wrenbury across the fields to Marbury and along the Llangollen Canal back to Wrenbury. We had an expensive but good lunch at The Cholmondley Arms.

06/03/17 R Freeman From the Traveller's Rest, Newton by Frodsham. Over fields towards Kingsley, down track to Catten Hall and return to the Travellers which was closed so we had a very good meal at the Maypole, Acton Bridge

20/03/17 N Lamping By train from Cuddington to Delamere and then to Blakemere Moss past the Forest View pub, along the railwayback to Cuddington. Lunch in the Blue Cap.

03/04/17 R Miller From The Royal Oak Kelsall a short steep climb to Castle Hill, then a slow descent along Birch Hill ridge, to the flat from Home Farm to Fir Tree farm crossing Prior Hayes Golf course before returningover the eight fields that make up Hollowsgate

02/05/17 J Adshead a level walk from the George & Dragon, Glazebury across fields & over the railway, along various farmers lanes crossing the R Glaze and to woodland and wetland which is part of the Red Rose Forest return to the pub for a good lunch and lots on banter.

10/5/17 N Lamping Train Cuddington to Delamere then walk to the Goshawk at Mouldsworth via Brine's Brow and Grange Road. 3.5 Miles 5 walkers. A very pleasant lunch with the short walkers & bowlers + some wives. Some walkers played bowls with the bowlers after lunch.

Glorious summer weather. Dry underfoot
15/05/17 GW Scott From the Stanley Arms past Anderton Boat Lift and around the Northwich Woodlands Neumann's Flash etc Lots of birdsong and water birds on the flashes.

30/05/17 R Miller From the Farmers Arms Ravensmoor to the Llangollen canal to Swanley Hall Bridge, on to Stoneley Green via Dig Lane Farm & Edlestan Hall to the pub. Weather poor but only one good downpourlasting about 20 minutes 6 Walkers

12/06/15 J Chrimes From The Swan over A49 & across fields to Townfield Lane, past Tiverton Hall to Pudding Lane. Along Sandstone Trail to Back Lanes and& return.

26/06/15 J Feltham From the Hanging Gate, Weaverham towards Acton Bridge and then looping across fields & the ICI disused railway to Thorn Wood. Then to the south and east of Weaverham returning to the Hanging Gate via Owley Wood.

10/07/17 R Freeman From the Plough & Flail, Mobberly along tracks & felds of long, very wet grass to Graveyard Farm. En route to Saltersley Hall Farm & the fishing lake we got lost but eventually recoverd our location. Good lunch at the Plough & Flail.

24/07/17 J Feltham From Kingsley Community Centre to R Weaver. Along an overgrown path to the caravan park. Back to Kingesly via lanes and fields. Three team building stiles along the way. Hanging Gate for a good meal.

04/09/17 W Montgomery From the Tunnel Top at Dutton. Clockwise through Preston-on-the-Hill, over several farms; join The Lewis Carroll Walk to the Delamere Way. Cross A533 to the canal & back to the Tunnel Top. Good lunch at The Leigh Arms.

Muggy but dry, 18C some long, wet grass hard work
18/09/17 R Miller From Stamford Bridge along the the old Roman road, a cross fields to Great Barrow to join the Longster Trail towards Chester then over Vicars Cross Golf course. Cross the A556 to head for the Stamford Mill, cross the River Gowy back to the pub

16/10/17 J Adshead From St Bertoline's Church over fields with many stiles to Mill Dale, along Dean Brook to Town House Farm. Over A500 to Smith's Green and via the lane to Barthomley. An enjoyable lunch at the traditional White Lion pub, washed down with an excellent selection of cask ales

30/10/17 J Chrimes From Appleton car park, via houses & over A49, round Golf Club. Continue to Fox Covert Cemetery good view of Warrington & Liverpool..Along tracks to Walton Hall & on to Bridgewater Canal. Leave canal after 1ml track back to led back to the cemetery & return to CP..Good lunch at the Stretton Fox.
