08/01/18 N Lamping From the Hazel Pear, Acton Bridge via Old Lane & over fields, and lanes to the river Weaver. Along the Weaver to Dutton Locks and then making our way gradually back to the Maypole.

22/01/18 G Miller From the Crown, Lower Peover via Crown Lane, across fields,over the M6 to Back Lane. Back to The Crown past Hulme Hall. Weather- Cloudy skies, but wet underfoot in places.

05/02/18 R Miller From the Abbey Arms via Delemere Station to Kings Chair & return. Route had to be modified due to a path diversion adding ca 0.5ml - from Delemere Station we headed for the Old Pale after rather a stiff climb the descent was a bit of a scramble

19/02/18 W Montgomery From The Swan, Tarporley, over the Portal golf course to Eaton, via the upper part of the course to the A49. & return to Tarporley High Street. Aa good lunch to complete a very pleasant morning.

Watery sun, 7C, reasonable going
19/03/18 J Adshead From Wheatacre Farm Woods Car Park via lanes then field tracks to to Tan House & Old Alder Lane. Down to Sankey valley Country Park, returned by field tracks, narrow lanes, urban footpaths and Burtonwood village,on to the Skymaster Pub for an inexpensive carvery and choice of Marstons ale.

03/04/18 J Chrimes From The Plough to Whitegate Way via Cassia Lane. Ttowards Grange Lane, skirting Knights Grange, back towards WW via Catsclough Crossing. Return via Grange Lane & WWay. From there back to the pub for lunch via Gale Green Farm.

16/04/18 N Lamping From the Ring O' Bells, Daresbury via Keckwick Hill to the Bridgewater canal. Along the canal to Higher Walton, returni through fields where the Creamfields pop concert is held.

30/04/18 R Freeman From the Traveller's Rest, Frodsham.. Lot of ups and downs - compensated by some excellent views. George and Graham joined us for lunch at the Hanging Gate, Weaverham.

2/5/18 N Lamping Mayhem event - From Red Lion, Little Budworth & followed a clockwise route around the outside of Oulton Park motor racing circuit. There were 23 members in total for lunch and bowls in the afternoon.

14/5/18 J Feltham From Acton across fields to the Llangollen canal. Along the towpath to the Trent and Mersey @ Hurleston, back to Acton. Lunch at the Thatch Inn Faddiley.

29/05/18 G Miller From Ness Botanic gardens to the Dee Estuary walk northwards before turning inland up an inclined sandstone cutting back to the start. Good lunch @ Hinderton Arms, Neston.

Good going, bone dry & hot
25/06/18 W Montgomery From NT car park @ Duckington.Clockwise around the hill, through Brown Knoll. At Bickerton turn sharp right up a steep hill to Maiden Castle. Steep slope to the car park. Views from the top of the hill were magnificent. We had a pleasant lunch at the Bickerton Poacher.

09/07/18 GW Scott From the Blue Cap, via Cockpit Lane, Kennel Woods to Forest Rd, onto Whitegate Way. Leave the Way & return via Overdale Lane, Kennel Lane & other track to pub.

23/07/18 J Adshead From the Gritstone Trail CP @ Timbersbrook, follow the Trail, up the Cloud via woodland & moorland heath to the summit @ 1125ft. A rest @ the top with a 360o view over the countryside. The descent was less challenging, via lanes and tracks to re-join the Gritstone Trail back to the CP. A good lunch @ the Castle Inn with by choice of cask ales.

06/08/18 J Chrimes From the Swan with 2 Nicks , Little Bollington through Dunham Park to Dunham Forest Golf Club. Across the course to Dunham Village. Join the Bridgewater Canal to Dunham Woodhouses. Tthen via Meadow Lane & over fields to cross the R Bollin & under the canal to the pub..

17/09/18 N Lamping From Yeld lane carpark to Kelsall, pass Dodds Rough to the Eddisbury Way at Brine’s Brow. Right onto the Bakers Way @ end of Battle Axe Rd join Sandstone Trail, right just after Nettleford wood.to return to the carpark.

01/10/18 G Miller From The Dog ,Peover Heath passing Sycamore Farm over Chelford Lane & Peover Hall.. Through Big Wood, along Red Lane with Jodrel Bank on the right.Turn left over the Peover Eye to return to The Dog via Foxwood Farm and Cinder Lane. Excellent Lunch.

15/10/18 R Miller From the Royal Oak towards Ashton over the bypass onto Baker Way at Ashton. On towards Tarvin. Cross A54 @ Tarvin Sands return via fields, drovers path & Lower Grange Farm.

29/10/18 W Montgomery From Hankelow Village Hall to the Shropshire Union Canal @bridge 83 leave @ 80. past Hankelow mill and back into the Village, We had a pleasant lunch at The Lord Comermere, Audlem.

12/11/18 GW Scott Leave the Old Broken Cross along the Trent Mersey via Gadbrook Park & fields near Park Farm to Shurlach Lane. Over Davenham Rd & along Manor Lane to Whatcroft Hall. Return via canal through tranquil rural settings. .

26/11/18 J Adshead From the car park @ west of Errwood reservoir over the dam, turn south, climbi to join undulating path east of the reservoir to Pack Horse Bridge over the infant R Goyt, north to road, then down a challenging descent to path by the river & west side of tlake. Along road to return to the car park. Good lunch & Marstons cask ale @ The Stanley Arms, Oven Bottom
